Koh Tao, Thailand – A Photo Essay
We visited Koh Tao near the very start of our travels and it’s still one of our favourite places. We initially only planned on 4 days here but couldn’t bring ourselves to leave and ended up staying for a full week!
We caught the overnight train from Bangkok which was quite an experience in itself, especially as I was a bit poorly at the time and not very good company for Lisa… We arrived in Chumphon around 5:30am and met our ferry link ‘bus’ (stretching the word bus to it’s absolute limit!) and finally arrived at our ferry around 7am. We caught a few much needed zzz’s on the boat trip and awoke to find ourselves in paradise.
Koh Tao is beautiful. From its white sands and turquoise water, to the green mountains looming up behind the beach fronts, to the amazing snorkelling and diving experiences. We loved it here and I’d love to return one day!
